4th Annual Companion Day!

This year's nursing home visit is being organized by Marci Waldie and the Student Planning Task Force. Gifts are being collected in the library, staff lounge, medical labs and reception area from now until Dec. 6. The visit will take place on Dec. 9.

The seniors are usual just happy to be visited and any gift will suit them. There is a suggested list of gift items posted with red fliers all over the second floor hallway. It includes: socks, grooming/bath items, slippers, hats, gloves, sweaters and candy. If you have an idea that is not covered by the list, just stop by the library and check with me.

Gift wrapping is not necessary. If you do choose to wrap your donations, please label them for size, gender and item.

Reminder -Thanksgiving Break!

The school will be closed on November 23 and 24 for Thanksgiving. There are no classes and no office hours.

Thanksgiving Potluck!

The new Student Planning Taskforce is organizing a Thanksgiving potluck for Wednesday, November 15 starting at 11:30 and 5:30. Many students and staff have signed up to bring food and it looks like we will be eating well! Anyone wanting to bring something - please drop the library and speak with me. All students are invited to feast.

The Student Planning Taskforce is a student organization, which will be meeting regularly to discuss and plan events for the student body. It is important to the staff the Las Vegas College that student begin to develop a sense of community. If this is also important to you, please join the SPT by speaking with me or anyone of the taskforce members. Check back for the next meeting date.
